Man City table opening bid for Wolves midfielder Nunes

Wolves have rejected a bumper offer from Manchester City for Matheus Nunes.

City are in the market for a new attacking midfielder and made an attempt for West Ham United's Lucas Paqueta last week.

City's move was confirmed by Hammers manager David Moyes, but they pulled back after news broke of a betting investigation being launched into the Brazilian.

Instead, they're now pushing for Nunes.

However, BBC Sport says an opening bid of £47m has been rejected by Wolves.
