Manchester City are moving for Ipswich Town youngster Ben Knight.

The Telegraph says City are hopeful of signing Knight, a much coveted Ipswich Town and England Under-15 forward, as their quest to recruit the best young British players into their burgeoning academy shows no signs of slowing.

Ipswich are expected to work hard to persuade Knight that his interests will be best served by continuing his development at the Championship club.

But City have enjoyed considerable success in enticing the most sought after youngsters to Manchester over the past few years and have set their sights firmly on bringing Knight into their increasingly dominant Under-15 side. Ipswich would be due a substantial compensation payment if Knight departs.
