Man City matchwinner Haaland: Good to be in middle of this

Erling Haaland was happy to be Manchester City's matchwinner at Crystal Palace.

Haaland struck the spot on 78 minutes for City's 1-0 win.

He later said: "Three points and to win games and to keep performing, it's not easy. Bournemouth beat Liverpool earlier so every game is not easy, it is a fight.

"Nice stadium and a good game and I enjoy it. It's my job and I enjoy it.

"Everyone knows how important this win is for us and we have to keep going.

"I was not concerned because I just focused on my game as I try to do every single game. We were 2-0 down against Crystal Palace last time and this time it was 0-0. I'm really proud.

"We have to play different ways. People adapt as a team and how people play. Last five years at City there have been four Premier Leagues and we have to adapt and try our best to perform. "I don't like to miss chances, I had one in the second half. There was a small dent in the grass and it stopped me."

On scoring the penalty, he said: "I try to breathe and to be in the moment and that's what I did.

"Every single game we have to win and now it's Leipzig, then Burnley. We have to win games and focus on ourselves. We have a lot of games left to play so nothing is decided yet.

"I enjoy it, this is England, this is what I have watched my whole life. I enjoy every single second being in it. It's good to be in the middle of it."
