Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart is being backed for 200 England caps by Liverpool fullback Glen Johnson.

Hart is on 30 but, at 26 years of age, has plenty of time on his side to put that in the shade.

Johnson, speaking on behalf of England team sponsor Vauxhall, said: "It's not just his ability, but his age and dedication which could help him smash everything before him.

"Goalkeeper is not a position any manager really changes unless there is an injury.

"Most managers, once they have got their No.1 in their head, that's usually it. It takes a lot to change that.

"Just look at David James. As long as they look after themselves and keep their hunger up, that's the key.

"It could actually be frightening how many years Joe plays for. He could even smash the 200 caps mark."
