Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson believes his club manager Pep Guardiola will never manage Brazil.

There was speculation after the World Cup that Guardiola may take over the hotseat of the Brazil national team.

The Selecao still do not have a boss, as Tite left his post after the World Cup in Qatar in the winter of 2022.

Under-20s coach Ramon Menezes is in caretaker charge at present.

“I talked to him, joked with him, but he said it was not a possibility because he has a contract with Manchester City and he just renewed for two more seasons," City and Brazil keeper Ederson stated.

“He told me that there was no chance at all. Of course, we are waiting to have the new coach announced as soon as possible because I am anxious as well. There are a lot of rumors whether it will be a Brazilian or foreign coach."
