Man City hat-trick star Aguero admits handball goal

Manchester City ace Sergio Aguero admits his hat-trick goal was a handball for victory over Arsenal.

His third goal, which saw the ball hit his arm on its way in, effectively ended the contest and Aguero admitted afterwards that the goal perhaps shouldn't have stood.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the 30-year-old said: “I think it came off my chest, but now I see on TV it was a handball."

After Aguero's honest admission, his teammate Fernandinho, who was also being interviewed, interjected and said: "It was the referee's decision, it was a goal. It doesn't matter."

The win keeps the pressure on Liverpool, who are in action against West Ham on Monday night. and Fernandinho felt it was vitally important to pick up all three points.

He said: "We got back on track, playing good football. We went for the game from the first minute, scored another early goal and deserved the win."
