Manchester City youngster Rico Lewis has agreed a new six-year contract with the Premier League winners.
Lewis, who can play in midfield and full back for manager Pep Guardiola, was a feature for the team towards the end of last term.
With the likes of Kyle Walker likely to depart the club this summer, Lewis may get more game time in 2023/2024.
The 18-year-old has now committed the early part of his career to the Etihad Stadium club.
Manager Guardiola said: “Rico is so smart and he understands everything. He is reliable in many things.
“We are really pleased he is a player from the academy. We brought him up to play the way he plays now."
