Manchester City fullback Joao Cancelo hopes to make his debut today against Tottenham.

Cancelo joined late in the transfer window from Juventus, and was an unused substitute three days later in the opening day demolition of West Ham.

He told the club's website: “Kyle Walker is a great player, very fast, very strong physically. I think we have different skills and I think that can help in the competition inside the squad. In the long term, it's going to be good for City to have two great players in every position.

"I'm really looking forward to make my debut in front of our fans and see the atmosphere," he explained.

"I had the chance to see the stadium inside and it's beautiful. I'm sure there will be a great atmosphere tomorrow, as I have been told the fans are amazing here."
