Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart suggests the club's pre-season training is nothing out the ordinary.

The Citizens are currently in Australia for the 2015 International Champions Cup having arrived in Melbourne from the Gold Coast on Sunday.

With the new Premier League season kicking off in early August, there is not much time to prepare but Hart is confident that manager Manuel Pellegrini has a clear plan in place.

"It's been as expected. We're preparing for the West Brom game (on August 10) so everything we are doing is building up to that," Hart told reporters at AAMI Park in Melbourne.

"The manager has had a few pre-seasons in his life so he know how to prepare a team to start the season well like we have done recently and we are going to look to do the same again this season."

City meet AS Roma at the MCG on Tuesday prior to Friday's clash with Real Madrid at the same venue.
