Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte is delighted with manager Pep Guardiola signing a new contract.

Guardiola penned terms to 2023 yesterday.

Laporte said: “We're all happy because he's a great manager, he's accomplished a lot here in a very short period of time.

"So I'm happy to stay here for two more years and hopefully I can also stay a long time to work with him and win other trophies with him.

"If we thought it would be his last season? We weren't sure when he could quit, but we were just waiting to find out what he would decide to do. Now we know it and we are happy."
