Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte praised Leroy Sane for helping turn the game around at Champions League opponents Schalke.

Coming off the bench, Sane struck to tie up the score at 2-2 before Raheem Sterling's late winner.

Laporte said: "Leroy always is a very good player and we know what he can do.

“I think he's a great talent, young and we have to take care of him because he's so good and can give us so much this year."

Laporte also hailed the quality of the team for performing the comeback at the VELTINS-Arena.

“Always we keep fighting until the end," Aymeric added. “The team have the quality to make these kind of things.

“We have to be focused on next games."
