Manchester City defender Martin Demichelis is delighted for Isco over his success at Real Madrid.

The pair played together at Malaga and Isco has been linked with a move to City.

"I'm happy for Isco, especially as a person. I knew him for several seasons in Malaga. He gained a starting place and he grew a lot.

"In Madrid he is generating the best feelings, he was persevering to be a starter, and now he looks more mature, more whole, more responsible to assume the role ... he has the qualities to play and win against big teams.

"He's not yet touched the ceiling, football will enjoy his talent a lot."
