Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has shutdown rumours linking him with crisis club Barcelona.

Pellegrini was a huge success in La Liga with both Villarreal and Malaga, guiding both clubs to the latter stages of the Champions League, and also spent one season with Real Madrid, guiding them to runners-up with a club record points haul behind Barca in 2008-09.

But at the half-way point of his three-year contract with City, he insists he is satisfied with life at the Etihad.

"I am very happy here," he said. "I have a contract for the rest of this season and one year more. I am very happy here and I hope I will continue."
