Man City boss Guardiola: We're innocent!

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says he fully trusts his board.

One the eve of his side's FA Cup final clash with Watford, Guardiola has hit back at the UEFA investigation into allegations of financial wrongdoing.

A negative ruling could see City banned from the Champions League next season.

Guardiola said: "I said many times, I trust the club and the people.

"I'm sorry, if we did something wrong we'll be banned, but right now I know people are waiting for us to be guilty.

"But we are innocent until proven guilty. That's all around the world and we accept it.

"I spoke with the chairman and the CEO and I know what they did - and I trust a lot of them - that's all.

"I'm not going to answer any more questions, my opinion is clear. We are innocent today and we'll see in the future.

"Uefa is now working with the lawyers, City are open to exposing the documents, but I'm not a lawyer.

"I don't know what's behind the scenes. I don't know what will happen - but we are innocent today."
