Man City boss Guardiola: The key to our success here?

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been reflecting on his success with the club.

Ahead of their trip to Nottingham Forest tomorrow, Guardiola was asked about winning 10 titles in 13 seasons.

Guardiola said, "I don't know. Obviously in the big clubs I have been at - at Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Manchester City - you have more chance to win titles because you have exceptional players. I have also a good staff helping me a lot. I have had a lot of assistant managers, not just the same one all along, and all have contributed to that success.

"Without doubt it is the most important thing. I have had some huge characters at Barcelona, Bayern Munich and here. In a tough moment, they [leaders] take a step forward and go there without fear.

"Playing good or bad is not the most important thing in a long season, especially when trying to win titles. The quality of play is impossible to maintain in every single week, when you are playing three times in a week.

"We are in the position I could have dreamed to be at the start of the season. I would not have expected to be a lot of points in front after winning titles back to back, it's almost impossible."
