Man City boss Guardiola: Man Utd clash a final for us

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola rates today's clash with Manchester United as a "final".

City says their priority is to keep up the pressure on leaders Liverpool.

Guardiola said: "Remember what happens when United went to Anfield this season?

"Last season they lost 7-0, do you remember the comments? 'How many goals will Liverpool score? It will be easy for Liverpool.' What was the result? Liverpool didn't win. United is United. Man United.

"I know what happens, the past is the past. Tomorrow is 11 players, the pride, a manager everybody, we cannot deny how good he has done in the past in Amsterdam and here trying to do his best. United is United."

He added: "It's not just for the fact to beat United, it's to continue to fight against Liverpool, who is above all of us, Arsenal is there, Aston Villa is close. Try to arrive week by week at the end with the chance to retain the title. This is the target. Tomorrow is another final."
