Man City boss Pep Guardiola is furious with his skipper Vincent Kompany about his latest injury, and is considering selling him, according to the Mirror.

The 31-year-old suffered a calf injury while playing for Belgium in the 9-0 win over Gibraltar during the international break.

Kompany started the first three league games for City, but is now set for yet another spell on the sidelines as City start their Champions League campaign this week.

In an additional report, the Sun has claimed that Guardiola has identified Tottenham centre-back Toby Alderweireld as the replacement for Kompany.
