Rodrigo has informed Atletico Madrid management he's ready to leave.

The midfielder, a target for Manchester City and Bayern Munich, has told Atletico chiefs that he intends to leave the club this summer, says Marca.

With both City and Bayern willing to meet Rodrigo's €70m buyout clause, it means Atletico have no say in preventing him from departing.

While City are regarded as favourites for Rodrigo's signing, it's emerged he is tempted by the prospect of following Atleti teammate Lucas Hernandez to Munich this summer.

Indeed, the pair have been speaking regularly about life in Germany and the idea of both of them playing for Bayern next season.
