Manchester City assistant manager Juanma Lillo says Jeremy Doku will be stronger for his debut.
Doku featured in their 5-1 win against Fulham.
Lillo said: "The most important thing Jeremy did today was the effort, at no point did he lack that high level of effort. He could had had better moments in the game, but that was due to our lack of fluidity.
"I spoke to Pep on this, about how to get more out of him, so we made this switch with Foden, We managed to get the ball into him more often and in better areas.
"Generally his introduction to the team and his performance so far has been good.
