World Cup winner Bixente Lizarazu fears for fellow Frenchman Antoine Griezmann at Barcelona.

Griezmann has not started in Barcelona's last two games, which ended in a midweek 5-1 home victory over Ferencvaros and in a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Real Madrid at the Camp Nou on Saturday.

"Griezmann is great," Lizarazu told Telefoot. "He is a very, very good player and he is fantastic for France. But he is not [good] at all for Barcelona.

"He has a real problem. He went to Barcelona with the dream of playing with Lionel Messi, but unfortunately there is no technical relationship between the two.

"Griezmann cannot find his position; he can no longer play football with Barcelona. It is a crisis of confidence.

"At some point it is better to cut off his hand than his entire arm. He should not hesitate to leave when he cannot find his place. Eighteen months have passed, not just two. The situation is really critical."
