Liverpool midfielder Joao Teixeira is set to join FC Porto, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola.

The 23-year-old is in the last month of his current deal with the Reds but has been offered a new contract by the club.

However, the report claims that he is set to reject the new contract in favour of a 'four or five-year deal' with the Portuguese outfit.

Teixeira managed just seven appearances for the Merseysiders last season, and his move is said to be motivated by his desire for regular first-team football.
