Argentina defender Lisandro Martinez has returned to Manchester after his World Cup exploits.

The central defender, who did not start in the World Cup final but was a part of the squad that won the trophy, should be available for selection soon.

Martinez was absent as United beat Nottingham Forest 3-0 in the Premier League on Tuesday.

Per the Daily Mail, the 24-year-old missed the wedding of close friend Nicolas Tagliafico.

Martinez has shown his commitment to United, as he wants to get back into the team as soon as possible.

The defender will help ease United's crisis in that position, with Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof ill.
