Lille midfielder Boubakary Soumare is rethinking his stand over interest from Newcastle United.

The youngster saw a €60m offer from Newcastle accepted by Lille in January, but he refused to leave.

However, Italian media sources say with Newcastle about to change hands and the spending power of the incoming Saudi-backed group owners, Soumare is now keen to hear from the Northeast giants.

Soumare is excited by the potential of Newcastle under the new owners and wants his agents to re-establish contact.

For their part, Lille remain open to a sale with the season cut short by the Macron government.
