Lille defender Sven Botman has passed a medical ahead of a move to Newcastle United.

The Magpies sent a private jet to collect the Dutchman from his holiday in Marbella on Monday morning.

Sky Sports states that Botman has competed the medical.

Toon will pay £35m for the 20-year-old, beating off competition from AC Milan.

The Tyneside club are still in talks for Reims striker Hugo Ekitike.
