Leicester boss Rodgers: Top knows I'm loyal

Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers concedes his job was on the line this week.

Rodgers went into victory over Nottingham Forest on Monday night with the Foxes bottom of the table.

He said, "He (the chairman) and his family and all other staff here have been incredibly supportive of me. They understand the challenges we had during the summer. They understand those difficulties.

"But they know they have complete respect from me, so I don't need to hear it from 'Top' (the chairman) or anyone else. They trust me to do the job. They know I'm loyal, because I stayed when I might have left.

"It does not mean that they owe me anything. I want to do it for the club, the fans and they trust me to do it. And if I don't, they will tell me."
