Real Madrid legend Raul was considered by Leeds United before they hired Jesse Marsch.
American Marsch was brought in after the sacking of Marcelo Bielsa, but not before Leeds considered a move for Real Madrid Castilla coach Raul, says Marca.
Leeds' Spanish football chief Victor Orta seriously weighed up a move for Raul before eventually settling on Marsch.
Raul has been in charge of Castilla since 2019 and is gaining a growing reputation across Europe.
Along with Leeds, Eintracht Frankfurt and former club Schalke have also considered moving for the Spaniard.
