Leeds United sports chief Victor Orta admits he's monitoring Raul's progress as Real Madrid Castilla coach.

Raul was linked with Leeds after the dismissal of Jesse Marsch. Orta eventually secured Javi Gracia as new manager to the end of this season.

Orta told Relevo: "Mainly from my admiration as a player and I have a real relationship from his work as a coach.

"I have followed him a lot and I have seen how he has been able to make the Youth League champion team, which is something that did not happen at Real Madrid.

"With a fairly talented team, it is not one of the most talented generations they have ever had, it was champion, and I began to see that there was a coach there.

"Now he has a second coach on his staff whom I have known for a long time. I see a real evolution as a coach and I am very curious."
