Lazio president Claudio Lotito wants to make a major signing to strengthen his relationship with fans and investors.

Il Messaggero says Lotito is weighing up major bids for either Boca Juniors midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme or Villarreal's Italian striker Giuseppe Rossi.

Lotito is convinced he will strengthen his position at Lazio if he can pull off a major transfer coup in the summer.
