Lazio coach Simone Inzaghi says they should've done more with their possession after a 1-1 draw with Benevento on Tuesday.
Ciro Immobile's opener was a spectacular volley and the Aquile dominated the opening 44 minutes, but were caught out by Pasquale Schiattarella on a corner.
“The lads tried everything to win, we shouldn't have conceded that goal and we should've scored another in the first half," the coach told DAZN of the draw.
“After the break, we didn't repeat the intensity level and Benevento improved, so it was more even. The regrets are the first half, but Benevento caused us a lot of problems.
“They are a team in good shape, well-organised and solid, so we needed patience. I thought our first half was very good, but maybe because of fatigue, both physical and psychological, we didn't make it count. You can't go into the break on 1-1 after that performance.
“It was difficult to keep that level going, we did create some chances after the break too, but we didn't make that pressure count."
