Lazio assistant coach Giovanni Martusciello was delighted with their 2-0 win at Sassuolo.

Martusciello feels it was one of the best performances of the season.

He said, "We are extraordinarily happy with the performance, especially in the first half where we directed the result against a team that at home, especially against top-level teams, manages to put everyone in difficulty, just look at the match against Juventus.

"The coach was good at preparing her especially on the mental aspect and understanding that we shouldn't have a presumptuous but determined match.

"To win matches you need everyone's availability, starting from the attackers who are the main defenders. Without availability in dirty games there are no solutions and we weren't initially like that but we are becoming like that again."

On suspended coach Maurizio Sarri, Martusciello added: "I saw him now at the end of the match and he was enthusiastic above all about the performance. The result rewards us and makes us happy. He was enthusiastic about the first half offered and we take credit for what was done."
