Lazio ace Ciro Immobile is proud to have won last season's Golden Boot.

Immobile collected the Capocannoniere title with 36 goals in Serie A.

“The Golden Boot was my target, a personal dream," Immobile told Radio Esercito. “I came very close to it a couple of years ago but due to an injury I missed my opportunity.

“It's the greatest satisfaction of my individual career, but collectively I have had many. We won a lot with Lazio and did very well with the national side. This is the best moment of my career.

“The national team is everyone's dream but a fortune for the few and when you wear that shirt, you must enjoy all the emotions it gives you to the fullest.

“It's an immense pleasure, wearing the colours of your own nation is a source of pride. We are a team with the right mix of experienced players and young talent.

“We have created an excellent path so far and there are many expectations. This gives us an extra momentum to play in the European Championship."
