Las Palmas have announced Pako Ayestaran as new head coach.

Ayestaran succeeds Manolo Márquez, who has resigned and returned to work with the club's academy.

Las Palmas confirmed the change on Wednesday evening.

Former Liverpool and Valencia coach has signed a deal to the end of this season.

Ayestarán arrives at UD Las Palmas accompanied by two assistants, David Caneda and José Viela. Paquito Ortiz will continue to be part of the technical staff.
