Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul admits he finds his career success "surreal".
Krul is now the clear No1 at Newcastle and challenging for first-choice status with Holland.
"It's surreal," he says. "Not long ago I was the one looking up to players. I'm proud to wear the shirt and see a dad and his little boy behind your goal screaming for you.
"The Geordie people are similar to where I grew up in Holland, which is why it was so easy for me to settle here. They are like a second family."
