Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini confirmed that skipper Vincent Kompany has suffered a calf injury in the Champions League defeat against Juventus.
The 29-year-old defender limped off the field in the 75th minute of the game when the score was still tied at 1-1.
"We will have to see how Vincent is on Wednesday," said Pellegrini.
"We will check and see how serious the injury is."
City led by a goal in the 57th minute when Giorgio Chiellini's header, under extreme pressure from Kompany. beat Gianluigi Buffon before goals from Mario Mandzukic and Alvaro Morata condemned the home side to a 2-1 loss at the Etihad Stadium.
