Jordan: Brazil? I enjoyed them being spanked 7-1 by Germany

Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan has given a brash response to Brazil's dancing celebrations against South Korea at the World Cup.

The Samba stars pulled off an impressive 4-1 win in the round of 16, going 4-0 up at half-time against the Koreans.

However, many pundits were surprised at the level of celebrations put out by Brazil in the match.

Each goal was accompanied by a unique team celebration, with coach Tite even joining in at one stage.

Jordan said on talkSPORT: "I'm not much of a lover of these ridiculous goal celebrations anyway most of the time.

"I think they're over-pronounced and over-exaggerated, and I'm certainly not interested in Brazil Samba dancing. I'm certainly not interested in Brazil dancing their way to a World Cup final.

"I'm not a great lover of Brazilian football, I admire it, but the best time I saw Brazil was when they got spanked 7-1 by the Germans. That's when I'd like to see them do Samba dancing then. I'm being honest."

He added: "I don't go to a football match to watch bleeding Samba dancing. If I wanted to go to Samba dancing, I'd go to a Samba dancing competition.

"If they get knocked out in this tournament and they don't win it, then I hope they get precisely what they deserve. If they're over-celebrating winning games against lesser opposition and taking the mickey a little bit by getting to four goals and still doing their ridiculous celebrations, that's fine.

"I think it is a little bit [taking the mickey] but I'm also not that bothered about it, I'm not offended about it. I don't care whether they do it or not.

"I don't go to a football match to watch Brazilian footballers dance. I go to a football match to see players score great goals. I'm not entertained by dancing."
