Johnson says Norwich right to stand by Hughton

Norwich City midfielder Bradley Johnson says manager Chris Hughton deserves to keep his job.

Teams beneath the Canaries have acted swiftly in sacking their bosses - largely to the detriment of form - and while Hughton's side remain in grave relegation danger after blowing a lead against 10-man Stoke City, the midfielder is insistent he is the man for the job.

"He is a great manager," Johnson said. "He has all of our support and the club have shown that by sticking by him. I don't agree with clubs sacking their managers if they're at the bottom of the table.

"We've stuck by our gaffer and we always will do."
