Former New York Red Bulls and Vancouver Whitecaps defender Jeff Parke has decided to explore other options despite receiving an offer from the Seattle Sounders.

The 28-year old linked up with the Sounders for pre-season training in February but was a noticeable absentee at training during the week with the club's general manager Adrian Hanauer telling reporters that he wanted to check out other options.

The club is still keen for Parke to join but it is believed that he isn't entirely convinced about the current offer.
