Jamie O'Hara exclusive: Ange must be smarter when Spurs face top teams

In talkSPORT host Jamie O'Hara you'll find a great supporter of Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglu. However, the former Spur player also became quite annoyed following the recent hammering in Newcastle.

"Ange need a plan B", was the gist of the criticism, but do people need to cut the Big Man some slack? Rome wasn't built in a day, after all.

"No, and I get that he can't do everything all at once," says O'Hara when being grilled by Tribalfootball on the subject.

"He's come in this season and he's had to deal with the loss of Harry Kane, he's had to deal with changing the mentality and with the style of football and there's only so much the man can do. He has tried to implement a philosophy and he's stuck to his guns.

"This is the way we're playing and I love that about him because he has made it entertaining to watch us this season. But you need some type of adaptation when you're playing against the top sides or when you're playing in big moments," O'Hara continues and points to Arsenal as an example.

"You wouldn't say Arsenal are not free-flowing or not expansive. They play brilliant football but defensively they are hard to beat. They will sit on the edge of their box with five or six behind the ball. The problem with Spurs is, every time a team comes forward and puts any type of pressure on the back four, they look like they're going to score every time.

"Arsenal don't give up chances easy and I think that's where Arteta has changed his team and that's where I also think Ange needs to get his team to".
