Newcastle United are planning a move for Ipswich Town star Tyrone Mings.
Mings has emerged as one of the best defenders in the Championship with his performances for Ipswich over the past few seasons and as a result, the 22-year old has been attracting the interest from a host of Premier League clubs.
Newcastle manager Steve McClaren is said to be a keen admirer of Mings and now according to the Chronicle, the 54-year old is planning to make a swoop for the defender.
However, Ipswich are not keen on allowing Mings to leave the club and the Magpies will reportedly have to pay around £10million in order to land the services of the promising youngster.
