Hull City boss Phil Brown has confirmed his interest in Aston Villa striker Marlon Harewood.

"Players with Premier League experience would interest us and Marlon Harewood is that type of player," Brown told the Hull Daily Mail. "He's got good ability and he's a big and powerful forward. He is the type of player that we are looking for and there's interest from us."

Asked if a bid had been put to Villa, Brown would only say: "There's interest from us."
