Howe admits Newcastle transfer plans still undecided

Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe has stated that the club's transfer plans are still up in the air.

The Magpies are experiencing an extremely tough season after their heroics last term.

Reaching the Carabao Cup final and finishing fourth in the Premier League seem far away, with the team sliding down the table and out of Europe entirely this term.

Asked about new arrivals, Howe told reporters: "I'm not sure at this moment in time. We are still hoping that those lads aren't serious [injuries to Kieran Trippier, Callum Wilson, Joe Willock and Harvey Barnes].

"Our first priority is to get those players fit as quickly as possible. Then we'll see.

"The only way to get out of the run of form we are in is to win. You are only going to do that if you are together and committed.

“That commitment was there and as long as we see that we know we'll be fine."
