Sunderland will travel to Edinburgh to play Hearts in preparation for the new Barclays Premier League campaign. Steve Bruce's men will take on Hearts who finished third behind Rangers and Celtic last season, at Tynecastle on Saturday, August 8.

The game, which will see record signing £9million Craig Gordon return to his former club, will take place just a week before the Premier League gets under way once again.
