Pep Guardiola's agent is on his way to England for contract talks with Manchester City.

El Mundo Deportivo says the City manager's agent Josep Maria Orobtig is due to fly to Manchester on Wednesday with contract talks on the agenda.

It is claimed Orobtig will meet with Guardiola to discuss what assurances he would be looking for from City to stay on in charge.

And once he has gained a clear understanding from the 47-year-old, he will then schedule a meeting with City to formally begin contract negotiations.

City bosses are desperate to tie Guardiola down to a lucrative new contract until 2021.
