Former Atletico Madrid captain Gabi was back on the club's training pitches this morning.

Gabi was spotted at Atletico's HQ as the players recovered from last night's Champions League defeat to Liverpool.

The former midfielder has been doing some work with the youth team, working alongside coach and former teammate Fernando Torres.

This morning he took in the recovery session from the sideline alongside team manager Tomás Reñones and delegate Pedro Pablo.

Gabi hung up the boots earlier this year after a spell in Qatar with Xavi's Al Sadd.
