Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen has put player contract talks on hold.

Dimitar Berbatov, Damien Duff, Philippe Senderos, Aaron Hughes, Steve Sidwell and Giorgos Karagounis are among those entering the final six months of their contracts.

Meulensteen said: "It is still early days. For me, it is about making sure we keep the momentum that we have created going, get more points on the board and stabilise ourselves in the league.

"Then, like any club, you need to strategically look to the future and to look at what needs to be extended. That is not something that has to be discussed over the next two or three weeks."
