Contrary to recent reports, former Manchester City owner Thaksin Shinawatra is not involved in the takeover of Portsmouth.
There was talk of Shinawatra joining Sulaiman Al-Fahim in buying Portsmouth but those rumours have been rubbished by the businessman and former Prime Minister of Thailand.
"I am not involved with Sulaiman Al-Fahim's bid in any way," read Shinawatra's statement on Portsmouth's official website.
"I have no interest in Portsmouth FC and, furthermore, I have no plans to become involved in any football club in the future.
"I have been surprised and shocked by the media coverage and my name being linked with the club. There is absolutely no truth in this."
