Former England boss Hodgson subject of £8m China offer

Former England manager Roy Hodgson has been offered a lucrative deal in Chinese football, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.

Following England's horror showing in the 2016 European Championships, Hodgson resigned from his post as manager and at 69, many felt that he would struggle to land a high profile job again.

However, Hodgson still seems to be hot property and now according to reports, claims have been made that the ex-Liverpool, West Bromwich Albion and Fulham boss has been offered a whopping £8million-per-year deal by an unidentified team in the Chinese Super League.

If Hodgson does happen to make the move to the Far east, he will join other big-name managers such as fellow ex-Three Lions boss Sven-Goran Eriksson, former Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari and recently-departed Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini.
