Fiorentina coach Italiano happy reaching ECL quarters

Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Italiano is delighted reaching the Europa Conference League quarterfinals.

The Viola reach the final eight 5-4 on aggregate after last night's 1-1 draw against Maccabi Haifa.

“We are happy. We are among the best eight clubs in the competition, and we'll face strong sides for a second season in a row because the level has risen," Italiano told Sky Italia.

“Dodo is pushing hard, and if he puts in intensity, he can be an important player. Now we need everyone, and having him is an added value.

“Nico [Gonzalez] is fit, but today's match wasn't high-intensity. He is getting back in shape, and he can give us a lot.

“Toni [Barak] is also improving and can give us a lot when he's at his best [Rolando]. Mandragora is more focused than over the last few months. It's March, and we are still involved in three competitions, so we need many players."
