The father of Manchester City winger Leroy Sane admits he's long wanted to play for Pep Guardiola.

Indeed, Souleymane Sane insists his son would've signed for Bayern Munich if Guardiola had remained as coach.

He told Der Westen: "My boy could go to Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich. Half the world wanted him.

"But Leroy wanted to work with Pep Guardiola, only with him.

"It was not easy for Leroy to leave Schalke. But it was the right step, he had to go. If Guardiola had stayed in Munich, Leroy would have played for Bayern now."
