Former Aston Villa boss Dean Smith has urged fans to enjoy the moment.

Smith insists it's too soon to talk a title challenge.

“I think the team is fantastic at the moment and you only have to see Wednesday night's game against Man City, today's was a harder game," he told the Villa Park Podcast after watching the game with the New York Villa fans.

“I've not seen too many teams do what Villa did against Man City in the week.

“So at the moment I know everyone will play it down and I'll continue to do so, one game at a time, but they look the real deal at the moment.

“I'm not even going there!" he responded when asked if Villa can win the Premier League. “Let's make sure they continue doing what they're doing and let's see where they end up."
